I had one of the best breakfast experiences ever here. The grits are absolutely perfect — creamy, flavorful, and cooked just right. The portions are generous, the prices are fair, and everything tastes homemade with so much love. The staff is super friendly and makes you feel welcome the second you walk in. Overall the food was literally chefs kiss. 10/10

This spot has great vibes, great service, and great food. I had a very filling pecky biscuit with a medium well egg (as recommended by my server) and the iced hibiscus tea. The prices might seem slightly high, but the food is excellent quality and very filling. The tea was also SO refreshing. They bring you your bill in a book which was a fun bonus FYI - It had been a while since I was in downtown Boone and parking is inexpensive but not easy.

Now, I’m not one to over exaggerate, BUT DAMN. These biscuits are killer. I had my doubts seeing as we ate at a food truck the night before and the price was NOT fit for the food taste. BUT MAN, I’d pay any amount for this food again! I had: Southern Apple Cider (5% ABV) Plain Jane Biscuit (Country Ham) Yo Nanna (Banana Biscuits) This biscuit was so warm, so fluffy, so light, and buttered to absolute perfection. I will NEVER pass this place up driving by again. And I hope yall don’t too! If I could give more than 5 stars I would, but I can’t. This place is the best of the best, no biscuit place I’ve ever been has compared to how good this flavor is. Definitely recommend the Plain Jane, SIMPLE but so flavorful.

Betty's Biscuits is an absolute must-visit! Their Nashville hot chicken is a wonderful blend of spice and flavor, complemented perfectly by rich, creamy grits. The service was outstanding—friendly, attentive, and genuinely welcoming. Overall great vibe and great location. Will definitely be back. Highly recommended for anyone craving comfort food with a Southern twist!

Betty’s Biscuits is the kind of place that reminds you why breakfast is the most important—and most enjoyable—meal of the day. The moment you step inside, you’re welcomed by genuinely friendly staff who you can tell are passionate about making sure you have the best experience possible. The atmosphere is really cool with a personal touch of history so if you’re inquisitive ask about all the framed photos! The meal I had was hands down the best I have had at any restaurant that serves breakfast! I will be coming back again and again! Betty’s Biscuits isn’t just a breakfast spot—it’s a destination. Yum

Betty's Biscuits is an absolute winner! Their namesake biscuits are the star: flaky and fresh on the inside, with that perfect crisp, crunchy exterior. Seriously, you can't leave without trying the savory sides—the grits and potatoes are a must-try. And don't forget the accompaniments; the strawberry jam tastes like it was just made. A quick and delicious spot!

My daughter and I were visiting Appy State and we stopped at Betty's for brunch. As soon as you walk in the door you are drawn in by the warm atmosphere. Food and service were great. We had a butternut squash soup and a breakfast bowl. Presentation was also very nice. I would certainly recommend trying it out and I would visit again next time in Boone.

Betty’s Biscuits is a gem in Boone! This cozy little spot serves up some of the best biscuits you’ll ever taste. Every bite feels like pure comfort. The menu has that perfect balance of classic Southern favorites and creative twists, and everything tastes homemade and fresh. The vibe is laid back and cheerful, with friendly staff who make you feel right at home. It’s the kind of place that brightens your morning whether you’re grabbing a quick bite or lingering over coffee with friends. If you love good food made with love, Betty’s Biscuits is a must. It’s right near Mast General and an antique mall across the street. So if you have to wait a bit for a table, there’s plenty close by! I got the Side Hustle (biscuits and gravy) and my husband got the Butterbuster (chicken buscuit) and a Bloody Mary and all were great. Not related to the quality of the restaurant, but I will add that parking was extremely difficult for us to find. All the lots nearby were full at 10:00 on a Monday morning. We ended up finding a metered parking spot about 4 blocks from the restaurant.
